The guys have a special guest on the show, Anthony Montgomery, of once Star Trek fame, who now has a graphic novel Miles Away, and we're helping get the word out. We also take a moment to talk about his past with Enterprise, Where Miles Away will be heading into the future, and the current state of the Chicago Bulls. We like to cover our bases on our podcast.
In news, we have a bit of TV news. Once Upon a Time gets a spin off set in Wonderland. Dracula gets his shot at television. Sticking with stories past, we also take a quick review of Sleepy Hollow's trailer from Fox. Finally, the big news is the trailer for SHIELD. Oh yeah... In movies, rumors of the Governator playing a role in the new Toxic Avenger movie. Will he be Toxie? If not...I declare shenanigans. We also get images of Robocop, with mixed reactions, but all of them pretty unpleased. And the other side of the robotic police movie, we take a look at the Almost Human trailer. Finally in movies, A new Riddick trailer has surfaced, and there was some rejoicing.
In toys, construction toys are getting ready to do a backflip over the shark with WWE and Bridge Direct getting together for buildable...something or other. Sticking with construction toys, Lego unveiled images of a large cruiser from Star Wars that looks pretty slick. And finally, the last two figures from the G.I. Joe FSS 2.0 was revealed. Good stuff.

Ya know it's getting close to summer in geekdom when the news floodgates open. This evening, we have a bunch of news to cover, so sit back and catch up on some stuff that you may have missed...
In toys, we cover a nice variety, including K'nex picking up the Family Guy license for building sets over your favorite Quahog natives. George is publicly rooting for a Herb set. Freaking weirdo. Sticking with building toys, on Amazon, some Transformer Kre-O sets have been popping up, capitalizing on the draw of the mini figure craze. Sticking with Transformers, the Napkin of Revelation is shown, giving a nice little look on what was going to be the future of a Transformer line. A few Star Wars Exclusives popped up, one SDCC, and the other for Star Wars Weekends at Disney. Gonzo as Darth Vader -- WIN. Speaking of exclusives, The G.I. Joe Club shown some more figures for their FSS 2.0 wave. A Superman and Zod are getting the Square Enix treatment, and finally, the boys revel in Mattel Talk. Oh Matty... You do give us some great material.
In movies, a lot of talk on Marvel Movie news... Including some new possible movies, as well as a former Time Lord rumor as a space raccoon. First images of April O'Neil from the Teenage Mutant Alien Ninja Turtles has shown up, with varied opinion by the guys. And, our beloved G.I. Joe just can't catch a break as Paramount is sued for Retaliation by the writers of Rise of Cobra. A trailer for Ender's Game has popped up, and the guys are pretty stoked to see Indiana Jones not fight Interdimensional Beings.
We love variety.

The guys are back, and talking robots. Specifically, Gundam, the model kit robots that only took Jay 30 years to get on board with. With the gang tonight, we have Syd, who can be seen on Hobbylink.tv's weekly podcast dedicated to model building and Gundam love, as well as his personal site which he mixes his love of plastic model robots and life in general. Tonight, we give anyone that has been remotely interested in this hobby a shake down on what it's about, what can be expected when you open the box, and what you need to hit the ground running putting together your own Gundam models. Basically, what it boils down to, if you find a robot that's interesting looking, go ahead..take the chance on it, because more times than note, it will be a fun, fun build and enjoyable hobby.
Or, if you're old hat on this or model building, this is kind of for you as well, as he haven't really focused on that hobby much. Hey, what can I say...the guys like to dabble. It's a curse.
In news, we're chock full of goodness. Starting the ball rolling and relating it to the first half of the show, a new Pacific Rim trailer was shown, and you can pretty much hear Travis purring. Don't worry, it was disturbing for the rest of us, too. More Marvel Phase 2 movie info is leaking out, with the guys getting excited for more Marvel Movie masterpieces. In video games, the teaser trailer for Ghosts from Call of Duty got Jay excited, while Travis was completely on the Meh side of the street. San Diego Comi-Con exclusive news starts to trickle in as Mattel has been slowly showing their cards (c'mon Hasbro...any day now would be nice). A few Hot Wheels pieces are showing up, involving Atari, The A-Team, and space ships. Finally, M shows it has the stones for the MOTUC line, which Jason was happy to "Rock on" with it. Images are starting to surface of Metroplex, and just how freaking huge it is. Also in the news, a Kickstarter involving Robotech is in full swing, and while the guys are excited for it, they all of the sudden remembered they have wives and too many other hobbies to keep track of as it is. Finally, do you like the Iron Patriot from Iron Man 3? Do you like Lego? Well, if you want an Iron Patriot in Lego form, you better like video games as well, as the only want to get a Lego version is to pre-order the new Lego game from Walmart exclusively.
Yeah...we'll be on the hook for that, as well. SIGH.
